As of July 2nd 2008, there are just 922 days left in Governor Henry’s second term. That’s 922 days for the governor and his staff to think of 922 reasons not to visit Cimarron County. In any case the governor has yet to visit Cimarron County and has even been quoted as saying he has no plans to visit. In March of last year, Governor Henry visited Oklahoma troops serving in Iraq. But even though Cimarron County has had servicemen and women serve in Iraq and Afghanistan, he has yet to travel 350 miles to visit their home soil.
It has been recommended to The Boise City News, that each resident of the county buy an Oklahoma map, circle Cimarron County, and mark the route and then mail those maps to Governor Henry. We think this is an excellent idea.
