BC Rotary Club Honored

The Boise City Rotary Club was honored by receiving several Rotary District Awards at the Rotary District Conference in Wichita, Kansas November 3rd. The Boise City Club won 1st place in Club Attendance, Community Service, Vocational Service, and Outstanding Small Club. The club also placed in the top 5 in District Conference Attendance, Club Service, and Grand Service. District awards are presented to a club for accomplishments in several different areas of Rotary service in a friendly competition between the clubs. The awards are presented based on a formula of a point system scored by several judges throughout the district.

The Boise City Club has won the Club Attendance award and the Community Service award for their numerous community service projects for several years and has won the Outstanding Club award three times in the last few years. The Boise City Club also has more district officers per capita than any other club in the district.

Rotarians do not serve for awards, but are honored and humbled by the recognition by their peers.
