Summer James, a business and pre-med major at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, has continued on her winning path as an OU Freshman. James, the 2007 Valedictorian from BCHS, and a state pole-vaulting champion, has been named one of OU’s outstanding freshmen. It has been a busy first year for the young Panhandle woman. She has participated in the President’s leadership class, been a member of the Big Events Staff, was on the Fall, President’s Honor Roll, (minimum GPA of 3.25), is a member of Gamma Beta Phi Society, (top 20 percent of her class), the Alpha Delta Lambda Honor Society, an Academic All-State Alumni Mentor. She was also honored as a Pace Award recipient, (top one percent of freshmen participating), and is a member of the Crimson Club, one of 90 students selected to serve as a University Ambassador until her graduation.
