“Master Gunnery Sergeant P.A. Trujillo Jr. served our state and nation with honor,” said Blackwell, R-Goodwell “It is my hope the state of Oklahoma will always find a way to recognize our troops and thank them for their sacrifices.”
Blackwell said, through personal experience, he knows Trujillo continues to demonstrate the exemplary character of a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Trujillo, Jr. has remained active member of the Guymon area and surrounding communities by delivering Veteran’s Day talks to the students of Guymon High School. He has also been involved and highly supportive of the Message to America and Message to the Nations mission of gratitude to United States Service Veterans and is developing ways to assist and support active duty family members in the area.
Blackwell said the “Veteran of the Week” program is just a small way for the state to honor those who have served our nation with distinction.
